Saturday Data Download 5/9/15: "Newer Elements of Our Defense"

Catch up on this week's Orphan Black news before the premiere of episode 4, "Newer Elements of Our Defense," at 9/8c. If you're anything like me, I try to avoid anything that might spoil the next episode because I love the constant surprise they bring, so no big spoilers here! It's safe to move ahead and geek out on OB for a little bit.

In case you've managed to avoid all things Orphan Black, check out the promo poster they released for this episode:

But what does it mean?!?

Co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson said: “We’re thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga. Huge thanks to our partners Temple Street Productions, and to BBC AMERICA and Space. We’re extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the roller coaster with our amazing fans #CloneClub.”
So are we guys, so are we.

Titiana Maslany did a Reddit AMA
You asked, Titiana answered! Some of the highlights:
  • It's extremely frustrating to constantly be upstaged by Titiana Maslany.
  • Titiana dishes on each clone's favorite movie and Doritos flavor.
  • What's it like being a producer on the show?
  • Is it hard playing a disabled Rachel?
Scroll through the link above for the details and even more interesting insight from the woman herself.

The Mary Sue's resident science experts break down the science in last week's episode.
You inherit one copy of every chromosome from one parent and a second copy from your other parent. These regions can then be analyzed to test for kinship either via sequence comparison, or via analysis of banding patterns on polyacrylamide gels.
Check out the link for more in-depth detail.

John Fawcett and Graeme Manson discuss Castor, Alison as a dealer, Helena's scorpion, and Tony.

I'm so ready for tonight. What about you, Clone Club? In the meantime...
